Who is eligible for the Volvo Medical Professional Program (January 3, 2024 – January 2, 2025)?
Physicians and Nurses
 
Physicians and Nurses with a Medical Identification Number for Canada (MINC) are asked to confirm their program eligibility through our third-party verification partner: ID.me.
 
Simply click "Get a Volvo PIN" and follow the on-screen prompts:
  • If you have an ID.me account, log-in to create your Volvo Personal Identification Number (PIN).
  • If you do not have an ID.me account, you will need to create one and follow the steps to verify.
    • Once successfully verified, you will receive an email from ID.me.
    • Return to this site, click "Get a Volvo PIN" and log-in using your ID.me credentials to create your PIN.

Please work with your Volvo Retailer to obtain your Volvo PIN if you are an ACTIVE member of any of the following occupations (retirees are not eligible at this time):

Your Volvo Retailer will request proof of program eligibility before your Volvo PIN is created. Examples may include: work badge, letter of employment, current paystub or T4.

How can I verify my eligibility as a Medical Professional and how long does the verification process take?

All verification must be completed through the vipbyvolvocars.ca/medical site, by clicking on the “Get your Volvo PIN” link. This will route a customer to our verification partner ID.me. The verification process typically take less than a minute; however, when verifying through the document upload option, it may take longer (up to 72 hours).

What are some of the ways I can verify via ID.me?

Document Upload
Upload images of official documentation to verify your status as a Medical Professional. The ID.me team reviews document uploads within 24-72 hours at a secure U.S.-based facility

There are multiple ways of getting a copy of your paper documentation on to your computer in a digital format; including (but not limited to) using a scanner or taking a picture with a smartphone or tablet and e-mailing it to yourself, etc.

The documentation used to verify Medical Professional status depends upon the type of Medical Professional you are:

Physicians  |  Dentists
- Province or territory medical license
- Proof of board certification 

The uploaded document must show:
- Full name
- Physician status
- License or certification number
 
Nurses
- Nurse Identification Card
- Letter of Employment
- Professional Certificate

The uploaded document must show:
- Full name (if on an ID Card: partial versions of full name, including initial for one of the names, are accepted) 
- Active position as a nurse 
- License or certification number
 
Document Requirements
The document uploaded must reflect the same name entered during the verification process. If documentation does contain current name (e.g.: maiden name is shown), additional documentation will be requested to demonstrate legality of name change – for example, a marriage certificate or legal name change document. 

Note: We do not accept transcripts, department logos, business cards, emblems, or pictures of individuals dressed in uniform as a form of verification.
 
*Documents are processed in the order that they are received 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I do not have an email address. Can I verify without one?

Currently, it is required that everyone have a valid email address to be verified and to obtain Volvo PIN.

I do not want to upload any information via ID.me. Is there another process?

Volvo Cars has chosen this process to ensure the highest level of verification, as well as to reduce fraud. Volvo Cars wants to ensure that only eligible Medical Professionals have access to the exclusive offer. At this time customers must be verified using this method. 

I attempted to verify by uploading documentation, but I was denied. Why?

There are several situations that may cause your verification attempt to be denied prior to uploading a document. Some examples include the following:

  • The information you entered did not match.
  • The information you entered matches an identity that already exists in our system.
  • The document you uploaded already exists in our system and is being flagged as a duplicate.
  • The information you entered was entered incorrectly.
  • You have moved within the last year.
