VIP by Volvo - Program overview

The VIP by Volvo Cars Canada program provides a way to purchase or lease a Volvo by offering exclusive savings to employees of select partner companies and organizations.

VIP by Volvo eligible groups are registered Corporate and Organizational Partners of Volvo Cars Canada. This offer can be combined with most current national or regional incentives at the time of purchasing or leasing a new Volvo through the VIP by Volvo program. There may be other VIP or Affinity offers that cannot be combined with the VIP by Volvo program.

Volvo Cars Canada reserves the right to modify or discontinue the VIP by Volvo program, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. The VIP by Volvo program is only available in Canada.

What is a Volvo PIN?

A Volvo PIN (Personal Identification Number) is a unique code required for each transaction under the VIP by Volvo program. This Volvo PIN must be generated by the eligible VIP member. When a Volvo PIN is generated, the VIP member will receive their Volvo PIN delivered in an email. The VIP member will need to provide their PIN to an authorized participating Volvo Car Retailer to secure the VIP bonus offer.
 
VIP-eligible members can use their Volvo PIN for:

  • New Volvo Purchase or Lease
    • Including Demonstrator & Courtesy Vehicles/Service Loaners
  • Certified by Volvo purchase
Customer eligibility

The VIP by Volvo program is offered to active employees of select Canadian business partners, fleet partners, and special organizations that have a unique relationship with Volvo.
 
Through the VIP by Volvo program, eligible individuals may generate up to three (3) PINs per year that may be used towards the purchase or lease of vehicles.
 
Additional purchase eligibility is extended to the eligible participant's spouse and/or members of their immediate household. The buyer/lessee and the Volvo PIN Participant’s legal home address must match the sales or lease contract. Co-buyers or co-lessees are permitted.
 
Eligible customers should register and log in to learn more about the program, including vehicle information, plan incentives, and the ability to generate a Volvo PIN. Employment verification may be required to confirm program eligibility.

Available toward the purchase or lease of a new 2025 Volvo (includes all models except 2025 XC60 Recharge Core, 2025 EX30, 2025 EX90, and 2025 V60 Recharge Polestar Engineered); or a Certified by Volvo vehicle purchase (excluding only the EX30 and EX90). Retired Service Loaners/Courtesy Vehicles and Retailer Demonstrators are also eligible for the VIP by Volvo Cars program. While supplies last, subject to availability. Volvo Car Canada Ltd. reserves the right to exclude or modify model or trim eligibility at any time.

​Must take new retail delivery within 90 days of PIN creation date. Only one (1) Volvo PIN allowed per vehicle. Limit three (3) Volvo PINs per participant per year. The Authorized Volvo Car retailer determines final sale price, base MSRP does not include packages/options, destination charge and supplemental advertising fees. VIP Bonus and Volvo Allowance are subject to change at any time and may vary from month to month.  Not compatible with other VIP by Volvo or Public Affinity Offer PINs. Volvo Car Canada Ltd. reserves the right to discontinue this offer at any time without notice. Not compatible with other VIP or Affinity PIN offers.  Vehicles may be shown with optional equipment at an additional cost. Some vehicle images are not shown to Canadian specification and may include optional equipment and vehicle colours not available in the Canadian market. Non-transferable and Canadian Residents only. Proof of eligibility guidelines

VIP by Volvo participants are required to provide their Volvo Car Retailer with proof of eligibility documents at the time of sale. These documents will substantiate that the VIP user is eligible to receive the VIP offer. Below is a list of the required documents for program eligibility.

Partner employees and family members in their immediate household:

  • Volvo PIN(s)
  • Proof of identity & address
  • Company or organization proof of eligibility document (one of the following)
    • ID Badge
    • Copy of T4
    • Copy of recent paystub
    • Letter of employment

How to purchase or lease a vehicle with VIP by Volvo
Eligible purchasers should follow the following guidelines when purchasing or leasing their vehicle:
  • Proceed to a participating Volvo Car retailer as identified on the VIP by Volvo website.
  • Identify yourself to the retailer as VIP by Volvo eligible.
  • Provide the retailer with your Volvo PIN.
  • Provide copies of the other proof of eligibility documentation as outlined in the Proof of Eligibility section above (as required).
The retailer will complete and ask you to sign the VIP by Volvo PIN & Pricing Agreement. After all parties have signed the Agreement, the retailer will provide you with a copy. This is your assurance that the price charged is the correct price. Do not sign this form if it is blank, or if you do not understand how the price was calculated. If you have any questions or concerns about the terms of your purchase or lease, ask your retailer for clarification before completing the transaction.
Pricing and incentives
Vehicle eligibility, pricing and incentives are based upon purchase date of the vehicle, not on the generation date of a Volvo PIN.

The Authorized Volvo Cars Canada retailer determines final sale price, base MSRP does not include packages, options, destination charge, port installed accessories or dealer accessories (if applicable). Incentive details can be found in the “Vehicles” section on the VIP by Volvo website. 
 
PIN & Pricing Agreement
The buyer/lessee and the Volvo PIN Participant’s legal home address must match the sales or lease contract. Co-buyers or co-lessees are permitted. Customers should also receive a completed and signed VIP by Volvo PIN & Pricing Agreement showing each item and its price. Do not sign the form if it is blank, or if you do not understand how the price was calculated. All added items must be documented on this form, including bonuses/allowance and retailer-installed equipment.
 
Trade-in Allowance
The VIP by Volvo program does not govern the value of customer trade-in vehicles. Over allowing on a trade for the purpose of providing an indirect discount to VIP pricing is prohibited. If a retailer is found to be exercising this practice, they will be suspended or expelled from participating in the VIP program.

The VIP by Volvo program is available towards:
  • The purchase or lease of a new Volvo
    • Vehicles may be ordered from production or may be selected from the inventory of the retail facility.
    • Some new models or models in limited supply may not be program eligible
    • Retired Service Loaners/Courtesy Vehicles and Retailer Demonstrators are also eligible
  • Certified by Volvo vehicle purchase

Ineligible products
Volvo reserves the right to make vehicles ineligible at their discretion.
Program policies
Customer Obligations and Rules
A VIP participant may purchase or lease a vehicle for themselves or generate a Volvo PIN(s) for members of their immediate household. The buyer/lessee and the Volvo PIN Participant’s legal home address must match the sales or lease contract. Co-buyers or co-lessees are permitted.
 
Providing a PIN to third parties, brokers, buying services, or anyone other than the direct individual is strictly prohibited. Providing a PIN to anyone other than whom it was intended for, including a retailer for any purpose other than purchasing or leasing a Volvo for the intended eligible VIP member, is prohibited. If an eligible VIP member fails to follow the rules, (including the length of ownership requirement) VIP eligibility may be revoked. If after ordering a vehicle under the terms of the new vehicle purchase program the customer cannot take delivery from the designated Volvo Car retailer, the customer must promptly advise the Volvo Car retailer. Volvo PINs may not be sold and/or transferred to anyone. The Volvo PINs may be redeemed by the eligible VIP member ONLY.
 
Dealership Obligations and Rules
Authorized participating Volvo Car retailers agree to comply with all the terms outlined for this program. Authorized Volvo Car retailers are encouraged but not required to participate in the VIP by Volvo program. Both the customer and an authorized Volvo Car retailer representative must sign an VIP by Volvo PIN & Pricing Agreement, which will identify the eligible VIP customer’s information, the partner company they are eligible under, the VIP bonus, the price of each retailer-added option, trade allowance and ACV, gifts, and any other allowable fees and taxes. A copy of the VIP by Volvo PIN & Pricing Agreement must be provided to the customer and retained with the deal documents.
 
Document Fees
Volvo Retailers will be permitted to charge their usual and customary documentary fee on each delivery to an eligible purchaser under the terms of the VIP by Volvo program unless otherwise prohibited by provincial and local laws or statutory regulations. Each retailer is responsible for complying with their respective applicable laws or regulations. A VIP-eligible customer cannot be charged any more or less than any other retail customer.
 
Financing, Insurance, Titles and Taxes
Purchase/lease financing may be obtained at the customer's discretion. Each vehicle purchased or leased will be covered by the same warranty as those sold to retail customers. The customer is responsible for all federal, provincial, and local taxes, as well as license and title fees. Non-eligible family members may be co-signers or co-makers of the loan or other financing agreement and may also appear as co-owners on the Vehicle Title or Registration. VIP program customers are required to provide their own liability and collision insurance for both purchases and leases.
 
Cash Due at Signing and Down Payments
All monies listed as Cash Due at Signing Cash Down, Down Payments or monies that are deemed as required as terms of the financing or leasing contract MUST be collected by the retailer. If the retailer fails to collect monies due as defined by the terms of the deal, this will be construed as a discount below the prescribed VIP pricing and is therefore in violation of the VIP by Volvo retailer opt-in agreement.

VIP by Volvo Vehicle Ownership/Lease Retention Time and Titling Eligibility is as follows:
Vehicles must be retained in the customer's possession and registered, as outlined above, for at least six months from the date of purchase or lease.
 
Individuals:
Vehicles must be registered or titled to the VIP-eligible customer. Non-eligible members may appear as co-signers or co-makers of the loan or other financing agreement and may also appear on the Vehicle Title or Registration. Vehicles also may be registered in the name of a customer's trust, provided that the customer's name is included in the name of the trust (i.e. John Smith Trust).
 
Commercial:
VIP by Volvo vehicles may be registered or titled in the name of a business (excluding automotive dealerships and their leasing companies). Documentation must be acquired to substantiate their connection and eligibility under the company name. VIP vehicles may be purchased or leased for commercial use.
 
Process and documentation
Sales and Delivery Requirements
The Volvo Car retailer may require the VIP customer to make a deposit when placing a vehicle order. Some or all of this deposit may be retained by the retailer, as permitted by provincial or local laws, if the customer declines to accept delivery of the product as ordered. An agreement in writing should be reached with the Volvo Car retailer concerning the amount of the deposit and the conditions under which it may be retained by the retailer if the transaction is not completed.

Lease transactions may require a refundable security deposit. Terms and conditions of consumer leases are governed by the lease contract. Please refer to the lease contract for complete details.

The retailer may charge the customer any price negotiated (at or above cost) for accessories, retailer-installed options, extended service contracts, and other items or services that add value to the vehicle. Each item must be priced separately and listed individually on the retail buyer's order and the VIP by Volvo PIN & Pricing Agreement.

Volvo Car retailers will notify the customer as soon as the vehicle has been prepared for delivery. VIP by Volvo customers must accept delivery and make final settlement within a reasonable amount of time after notification by the retailer that the vehicle is available for delivery. Unless otherwise agreed to by the retailer and the VIP by Volvo customer, vehicle disposition becomes the sole responsibility of the delivering Volvo Car retailer.
